Know what is coming, prepare your home, and reduce the distress for an anxious pet.
Pick the localities you care about and we will tell you what is planned — and be clear about
what is not known.
Two different things, clearly labelled
We never present a feast date as a fireworks schedule.
Feast preparation notice
A published main feast date
Fireworks may happen on earlier days, and sometimes in daylight. Exact firing times are
unverified. Treat it as a prompt to get ready, not as a timetable.
Confirmed fireworks programme
A date and time an organiser published
Only shown when we have a start time and a recorded source. Organisers can still change
things on the night.
What this cannot tell you
A feast date is not a fireworks timetable. Fireworks can be set off on earlier days and in daylight.
Exact firing times are only shown when an organiser has published one and we recorded the source.
Unlisted dates and places are not certified quiet. If bangs matter to your pet, assume they are possible.
Locality coordinates, where present, are town-centre points used for filtering — not launch sites and not a measure of how loud it will be where you live.
1. Choose your localities
Your own locality plus any nearby ones you want to watch. No location permission is
needed and nothing is read from your device.

Gozo
Malta
75 localities are listed. None of them has verified coordinates yet, so there is no distance matching: pick the places you care about by name. A town centre is not a launch site anyway.
No locality has verified coordinates yet, so there is no distance matching.
2. What is coming up
Feast preparation notices and confirmed fireworks programmes for the localities
above, for the next four months.
No verified upcoming fireworks programmes or published feast dates are listed for your selected localities in the next 120 days. That is not a guarantee of quiet: a feast is a local tradition and fireworks can happen without an entry here. The preparation advice below still applies.

Unsubscribing here only stops fireworks and feast reminders. Lost-pet alerts
and every other notification stay exactly as they are.
What we have sent you
Nothing yet.
4. Prepare your pet
Practical steps that work for most pets. This is general advice, not veterinary advice.
Check the local programmeLook for the feast committee or council programme for your locality, including daytime fireworks. Daytime displays are easy to miss because they are quiet at the time and loud up close.
Plan walks and toilet breaksWalk earlier or later around the quieter periods you can confirm locally. Exercise before dusk helps some dogs settle. Never describe a period as guaranteed quiet — the programme is a plan, not a promise.
Prepare a hiding placeSet up a familiar, comfortable spot your pet already chooses: a crate with a blanket over it, a covered corner, or a low table. Let them use it on their own terms and never drag them out of it.
Secure escape routes, keep the room coolClose and lock windows and doors, check balcony and yard gates, and block anywhere a frightened pet could squeeze through. Keep the room ventilated or cooled — closing up in summer heat brings its own risk.
Keep cats indoorsBring cats in before the display is expected and keep them in for the evening. Provide water and a clean litter tray so they do not need to go out.
Offer reassurance, never punishmentIf your pet comes to you, comfort them. If they hide, let them. Stay calm and matter-of-fact: never punish fear, never force interaction, and do not make a fuss that confirms something is wrong.
Plan ahead for severely anxious petsIf your pet panics, injures themselves, or cannot be settled, talk to your vet well before the season starts so you have an individual plan. We do not recommend medications or doses.
This is general preparation advice. It is not veterinary advice, we cannot tell you how loud a particular night will be, and a missing entry in our list is not evidence that a night will be quiet.

Admin: review and publish
Imported records never notify anyone. Review, correct, verify and publish them here.
A confirmed programme needs a published time and a source URL.
Nothing loaded.
Where this data comes from
Feast dates are a selected set of published main feast dates for Malta and Gozo,
imported with their source URL and check date. It is not an exhaustive calendar, it is not a live
feed, and it is not advanced to future years automatically. Fireworks programmes are added by hand
only when an organiser's own date and time can be recorded with a source.
